Decorating a Wooden Tea Box

Introduction

Required Materials

Before you begin, it is important to gather all the necessary materials:

• Wooden box with 9 compartments
• Acrylic paints - blue and gold (or colors of your choice)
• Set of flat brushes - small and large
• Palette
• Water cup
• Paper towels or rags

Steps

Step 1: Preparing the Materials

• Place all the necessary materials on a convenient work surface.
• Prepare the paints: pour a little acrylic paint into the palette, add water if needed and mix until you get a paint consistency that is easy to apply.
• Pour some water into the cup for cleaning the brushes.

Step 2: Painting the Inside of the Box

• Using a flat brush, start painting the inside of the box. Apply an even coat of paint and let it dry. If necessary, apply a second coat.
• Wait for the inside to dry completely.

Step 3: Adding Gold Paint

• Once the inside is completely dry, paint the outside of the box gold as well. If desired, you can first apply one coat of yellow paint and a second coat of gold for more coverage.
• Wash the brush well and dry it with a paper towel before changing the color.
• >Using a smaller brush, you can add gold details along the edges and around the window on the lid. Apply the paint with careful movements to achieve a precise and elegant finish.
• Let the box dry completely before continuing.

Step 4: Ideas for Additional Decoration

• Using a stencil: You can use a stencil to add interesting shapes or motifs. Place the stencil on part of the box and apply the paint using a sponge or a small brush.
• Mosaic: Decorate part of the box with small pieces of colored glass or ceramic to create a unique and exquisite design.
