Introduction
Decoratingapenisaneasyandcreativewaytoaddapersonalstyletoanordinaryeverydayitem.Inthisarticle,wewillshowyouhowtoquicklyandeasilyturnastandardpenintoauniqueaccessoryusingmacraméandplasticbeads.
MaterialsNeeded
Togetstarted,youwillneedthefollowingmaterials:
- Pen–chooseonewitharemovablebottomcap
- Plasticbeads–withletters,flowers,heartsorothershapes
- Macramé–cordorthreadthatwewilluseforwrapping
- Hotsilicone–forsecuringtheelements
- Pom-pomandwiggleeyes(optional)–forextradecoration
- Pliers–formakingaholeinthepencap
Step1:PreparingthePen
Usingthepliers,carefullymakeaholeontheoppositesideofthebottomcap.Youwillneedthisholetothreadthemacraméthroughit.
Step2:AttachingtheMacramé
- Cutalongenoughpieceofmacraméandthreadoneendthroughthecap,thenscrewitbackontothepen.
- Applyalittlehotsiliconeatthebeginningofthepentosecurethemacraméandpreventitfromloosening.
- Startwrappingthemacraméaroundthepen,tighteningitevenlytocoverittightly.
Step3:AddingtheBeads
- Onceyouhavewrappedasmallpartofthepenwithmacramé,startstringingthebeads.
- Stringthebeadsasyoulike–forexample,withlettersthatformanameorwithsymbolssuchasheartsorflowers.
- Afterstringingeachbead,wrapthemacraméonceagainaroundthepentosecurethebeadinplace.
Step4:FinishingtheDesign
- Afteryoufinishstringingallthebeads,continuewrappingthemacraméallthewaytotheendofthepen.
- Securetheendwithhotsilicone,beingcarefulnottootooclosetothepenpoint.
- Cutofftheexcessmacraméandcheckthatalltheelementsarestable.
