NecessaryMaterials

• A4chipboard
• A4coloredcardstock
• Glue(suitableforpaperandcardboard)
• Brush
• Decorativeappliqués

Step1:PreparingtheOutside

Foldthechipboardintwo,sothatthefrontandbackcoversofthecardareformed.Ifthetwocoversareseparate,jointhembygluingthemtoarectanglewiththelengthofthecard,foldedinthemiddle,whichwillserveasabase.

Step2:PreparingtheInsideoftheCard

Foldanotherpiece,thistimeA4coloredcardstockfortheinsideofthecard.Maketwo4cmcutsinthemiddleofthesheet,whereitisfolded.Carefullypushthecutpartintheoppositedirectiontocreatethe"pop-up"effect-thiswillbetheplacewheretheappliquéwillbeplaced.Glue-theinsideparttotheoutsidepartofthecard,beingcarefulnottoapplygluetothecutpart,sothatitcanmovefreely.

Step3:DecoratingthePop-UpElement

Dependingonthethemeofyourcard,useready-madeappliquésordrawandcutoutyourown.Inthisexample,thethemeis"sea",soweuseappliquéswithseasidethemes.Glue-theselectedappliquéontothepop-upelementfromtheinsideofthecard.

Step4:DecoratingtheOutsideoftheCard

Afteryoufinishtheinsideofthecard,itistimetodecorateitsoutside.
