How to Create a Beautiful Flower Branch from Wire and Wool Felt

Required Materials

• Wool felt (in a color of your choice)
• Wire stems (two thicknesses)
• Crepe paper
• Cutting pliers
• Hot glue
• Thread
• Scissors

Steps for Making the Branch

Step 1: Preparing the Wire Base

1. Cut a piece about 10 cm long from the thin wire stem using the pliers. This will be the base of your flower.

Step 2: Creating a Felt Bud

1. Cut a small piece of wool felt.
2. Gather the felt in your hands, shaping it into a small ball.
3. Glue the felt flower to the wire and wrap it tightly with thread at the bottom. Pass the thread around the felt ball, crossing it in both directions. Make sure the flower is tight and stable.
4. Make another smaller bud by repeating the same steps.

Step 3: Shaping the Stem

1. Cut several strips of crepe paper to wrap around the stems of the two flowers.
2. Prepare two squares of crepe paper and cut their top edges in a zigzag pattern (these will be the flower leaves). Stretch the crepe paper and shape each triangle with your fingers so it resembles a leaf.
3. Wrap the strip of crepe paper around the stem and add the leaf at the base of the flower.
4. Join the two buds by wrapping the two stems with crepe paper and gluing the end with hot glue.

Step 4: Assembling the Whole Branch

1. Make several separate flowers (small and large).
2. Use the thicker wire stem as a base to attach the finished buds to.
3. Start combining them by wrapping the wire stems together with crepe paper.
