How to Create a Designer Christmas Lantern: Step-by-Step Guide

The Christmas holidays are a time for coziness and beauty, and handmade decorations add a unique style to the home. In this guide, we will show you how to create a designer Christmas lantern using easy-to-find materials. The process is fun, creative, and will add a special atmosphere to your festive space.

Required Materials

• Wooden spatulas
• Wooden sticks (thin and thick)
• Christmas wreath or twigs
• Glass jar
• Styrofoam balls
• Light-up lamp or LED candle
• Organza or tulle
• Decorative elements – ribbon, leaf trim, wooden slices, bell, etc.
• Hot glue and glue gun

Step 1: Preparing the Base

1. Prepare four wooden spatulas, which will serve as the base of the lantern. Apply hot glue in the four corners to glue the spatulas together, forming a square.
2. Continue gluing four spatulas on top, alternating the direction, until you have five rows and a stable lantern base is formed.
3. Glue a piece of organza the size of the square to the underside of the base.
4. Repeat the process for the top part of the lantern, with the piece of organza placed on top.

Step 2: Building the Frame

1. Measure and cut four of the thick wooden sticks according to the desired height of the lantern.
2. Glue the sticks vertically in the four corners of the square base.
3. Repeat the process to attach the top part as well.

Step 3: Creating Crossed Elements

1. Using the thinner wooden sticks, create crossed decorations for each side of the lantern.
2. Cut the sticks to the appropriate length and glue them with hot glue, leaving two of the sticks for the end so you can decorate the inside first.

Step 4: Decorating the Inside of the Lantern
