How to Make a Bouquet of Felt Tulips

Required Materials

• Felt sheets (in different colors)
• Felt wool
• Floral wire
• Wire rods
• Hot glue and glue gun
• Needle and thread
• Scissors

Step 1: Preparing the Stem

1. Fold the floral wire in half so that it is about 15–16 cm long, and cut off the excess.
2. Apply a little hot glue and press to join the two parts of the stem together.
3. Wrap the stem with a piece of green felt, gluing it with hot glue. This will be the base of the tulip.

Step 2: Making the Flower

1. Cut out a rectangle from orange, yellow, or another color of your choice, measuring about 6 x 12 cm.
2. Shape the rectangle into a cylinder and glue the edges with hot glue.
3. Apply glue on one side inside the cylinder and attach it to the stem.
4. Fill the inside of the formed cup with wool felt to add volume.
5. Using a needle and thread, close the top part of the flower so that the petals take shape.

Step 3: Adding a Leaf

1. Cut out a leaf from green felt in the desired shape and size.
2. Soften the felt by gently crumpling it with your hands to make it more flexible.
3. Glue the leaf to the stem using hot glue. You can bend it slightly for a more natural look.

Step 4: Shaping the Bouquet

1. Make a few more tulips by following the steps above to create a bouquet.
2. Shape several wire rods into spirals using a pen or pencil and arrange them among the tulips to make the bouquet fuller and more interesting.
3. Secure the finished bouquet with an elastic band so the individual elements do not shift.
