How to make a Christmas snowman ornament from microporous EVA foam sheet

Introduction

Christmas decorations bring the spirit of the holiday, and handmade ornaments add coziness and uniqueness to the Christmas tree. In this article, we will show you how to make a snowman from foamed EVA sheet – easy, fun, and with an impressive result.

Required materials

• Foamed EVA sheet – glitter in red and silver color
• Christmas trim
• Small white pompoms
• Black half-round pearl beads
• Polyester cord
• Hot silicone glue and glue gun
• Scissors

Step 1: Cutting out the main elements

1. Cut out 10 circles from the foamed sheet with a diameter of about 5 cm. If you want a larger snowman, make the circles bigger.
2. Fold each circle in half and apply hot silicone glue along the edge.
3. Glue the folded circles one on top of another and join them together to create a round shape for the base of the body.
4. Cut a small strip from the microporous sheet, roll it up, and fill the inside of the resulting ornament to stabilize it and give it a finished look.

Step 2: Preparing the head

1. Cut out two more circles (about 2.5 cm in diameter) for the head and glue them together.
2. Cut two triangular pieces for the hat from the red foamed sheet and glue them to the upper part of the head on both sides.
3. Add white pompoms along the edge of the hat for an extra effect.

Step 3: Decorating the face

1. Glue two black pearl beads for the eyes.
2. Cut a carrot-shaped nose from the red sheet and glue it in the center.
3. Cut out and glue a smile from black paper.

Step 4: Finishing the body

1. Glue one circle of foamed sheet to the top and bottom of the body.
2. Join the head and body with hot silicone glue, pressing gently.
3. Glue Christmas trim around the snowman’s "neck" as a scarf.
