Round Wooden Beads for Jewellery, Charms and Decoration
The round wooden beads are one of the most versatile beads — light, smooth and easy to thread. They work well for bracelets, necklaces, charms, macramé — the craft of knotting cord into patterns — keyrings and all sorts of decorations. Wooded beads bring a warm, natural look and fit boho and folk styles, as well as handmade projects.
In this category you’ll find natural, painted and varnished beads in a range of sizes — from tiny beads for fine detail to bigger pieces for a focal point. Looking for a different shape? Browse the main wooden beads category.

What size to choose
Size changes the whole look of a piece. Smaller beads read as fine and neat, medium ones are the most versatile, and larger beads work as a clear focal point.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 4–6 mm | fine bracelets, charms, small details |
| 8–10 mm | classic bracelets, necklaces, charms |
| 12–16 mm | boho necklaces, macramé, keyrings |
| 18 mm+ | focal beads, hangings, decorations |
Important: the size of the bead and the size of the hole are two different things. Check the hole in the product description, especially if you’re working with thick cord, macramé cord or several strands of yarn.
What to pair them with
For a finished piece, round wooden beads work best on natural stringing materials — pick a base to match what you’re making, and add a clasp for necklaces that need fastening:
Care and safe use
Keep wooden beads away from prolonged damp, perfume, cosmetics and heavy friction. On painted or varnished beads, the colour or finish can change if the piece is wetted often or worn during sport.
Small beads are not toys. They aren’t suitable for children under 3 because of the choking risk. For children’s activities, use them only under adult supervision.
