Product description
Strand of semi-precious stone beads JADEITE in a round shape – assorted colors.
Those who are not familiar with gemstones might be surprised by the wide variety of colors of semi-precious stones sold under the name "jadeite.” In fact, jadeite can be found in nearly every shade of the color spectrum, with green considered the most valuable. In China, this stone is prized even more highly than gold.
Due to the limited supply and high cost of high-quality material, jadeite is often bleached, treated, and dyed. Treated jadeite is significantly more affordable, which makes it far more common on the market. After hematite, jadeite is the hardest known stone. No other gemstone can be carved into a continuous chain from a single piece of material and still endure as jewelry or sculpture for centuries.
This exceptional durability allows jadeite creations to be passed down from generation to generation as family heirlooms. Whether treated or natural, jadeite remains a beautiful material for jewelry, accessories, and decorations—not only because of its strong aesthetic appeal but also for its many valuable metaphysical and energetic properties.
