MALACHITE AND INNER PEACE

MALACHITE AND INNER PEACE

History of Malachite

Malachite is a stone with a long history, one that dates back to the Egyptian culture as early as 4000 BC. The ancient Egyptians mined malachite from the Sinai Peninsula and used it to make amulets and small statues.

This stone was widely used by the wealthier and more influential Egyptians. The pharaohs wore it close to their heads to elevate their vibrations and help them make wise decisions.

Another unique use of this stone was as a cosmetic for the face. Egyptian women would grind the stone into a fine powder, which they used to decorate their eyes, eyelids, and eyelashes.

Malachite is often called the “peacock stone.” It is considered a sacred stone of the goddess Juno, whose sacred bird is the peacock, not least because the eye-like patterns on the stone closely resemble the markings on a peacock’s feathers.

The stone was highly valued by the Greeks and Romans, who made talismans from it. The columns in the Temple of Diana at Ephesus were covered with malachite.

In the Alps, malachite is still considered a stone for pregnant and birthing women. An old Russian legend says that whoever drinks from a malachite cup will gain the ability to understand the language of all animals.

In the 17th century, malachite talismans were believed to protect from evil and cure all physical ailments. It was ground into a powder mixed with milk and drunk for hernia relief, to ease heart pain and relieve colic.

Malachite was also used to stop bleeding by mixing it with honey and applying it to wounds. Mothers wore malachite amulets to help their children’s teeth grow and to protect them from seizures.

It was believed that the mineral protected from lightning and infectious diseases and attracted true love and good luck. But its most important property was its power to guard against all kinds of evil and magic.

In more modern times, malachite has been used mainly for architectural decoration — in the great buildings of Imperial Russia and the columns of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.

Healing Properties of Malachite

Malachite is believed to strengthen the heart and circulatory system, as well as the pineal and pituitary glands. It rejuvenates both body and mind and aids in faster tissue regeneration. It is said to purify the blood and spirit and was once used to treat cholera, colic, rheumatism, irregular menstruation, poor vision, and depression.

This mineral cleanses the liver and gallbladder on both a physical and emotional level, drawing out toxins and accumulated negativity. It possesses remarkable healing powers.

Interestingly, because of its high copper content, malachite has a stable, pulsing electromagnetic field. For this reason, it is able to absorb negative energy from the aura and cleanse it, balancing its wearer and protecting them from the effects of harmful energies.

Malachite can also counteract unhealthy or self-destructive romantic relationships and open the way to pure love. It aids in emotional stability and balance.

Practitioners of traditional medicine believe that malachite improves the skin and its condition, restoring its youthfulness and elasticity.

If a woman frequently wears malachite jewelry, allergic rashes and other skin blemishes are said to soon disappear. The stone is also believed to benefit hair, stimulating faster growth.

Crystal healers are convinced that malachite has a positive effect on the body — it treats eye diseases and improves vision overall. It is also said to stop asthma attacks, relieve them, and even cure the condition completely.

In case of illness, it is often enough to place the stone on the affected area, and soon one notices that the ailment fades away without a trace. Malachite is especially connected to the third-eye chakra, the heart, and the spine.

Magical Properties of Malachite

Malachite is considered a wish-fulfilling stone. It is often worn as an amulet by small children to protect them from illness and danger.

According to Indian Ayurvedic texts, malachite helps activate and balance the chakras and remove energy blockages along the meridians.

It is also known as the stone of transformation. Gazing at the beautiful patterns of malachite lifts the mood and brings calm.

Malachite also makes a wonderful gift, as it carries a message of friendship. It is believed to be a symbol of happiness and harmony, helping achieve emotional stability and balance in life.

Who Should and Should Not Wear Malachite

Constantly wearing malachite jewelry strengthens your connection with your guardian angel, giving you inner strength and sharpening your intuition.

This stone protects against curses and the evil eye, improves sleep, and prevents nightmares. It is often used as an amulet for babies. Placed on a businessperson’s desk, it brings success and prosperity.

It is especially suitable for creative individuals, as it draws attention to its wearer. This quality can be used by those seeking love to help them find their soulmate.

Women become more attractive and desirable when wearing malachite rings or necklaces.

Malachite jewelry helps Taurus-born people realize their desires and become more gentle and soulful. Leos will make the right choice between family and career when facing a dilemma.

The mineral manifests its best qualities in those born under the sign of Libra, bringing them peace of mind, strengthening their health, and boosting confidence.

Aries will become more balanced and less stubborn. Sagittarians will turn into loyal friends, eager to share their experience with others.

Capricorns will become more reasonable and emotionally balanced. Aquarians will lose their fear of change, and Pisces will learn to focus only on what truly matters, gaining a clearer perspective on life’s situations.

However, Scorpios, Cancers, and Virgos should avoid malachite, as it brings them negative energy. Their zodiac nature is highly incompatible with the vibration of the stone.
