Historically, the Christmas tree hasn’t always looked the way we know it today, nor has it carried the same meaning. Nowadays, despite minor differences between us and other countries, the symbolism of the tree remains the same everywhere.
Traditionally, people prefer real trees to decorate their homes, but recently, artificial ones have also become a popular trend. Anyone with a bit of imagination can make their own Christmas tree using different materials.
Here’s my idea for a decorative styrofoam Christmas tree. How do we make it? Let me show you in a few simple steps.
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Take one of the styrofoam cylinders and cut it into three equal parts.

Step 2: Paint the cut styrofoam pieces in different colors using acrylic paint. Choose the colors you like best and let them dry completely.

Step 3: Once dry, use hot glue to attach the colored pieces together to form the shape of a Christmas tree.

Step 4: Use a red satin ribbon to make a bow with a stapler. Attach it to the top of the tree with hot glue, leaving two extra ribbons about 10 cm long on each side. Decorate the trunk with the same ribbon.

Step 5: To finish off the sparkle of the tree, glue the different buttons together in pairs on top of the ribbon using hot glue.
