On February 14, we celebrate Saint Valentine – the day of love. Although this holiday has Catholic origins, it is also observed by Orthodox Christians. Its name comes from Saint Valentine, a Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century. This ancient Roman Catholic celebration became associated with romantic love during the Middle Ages. Today, people all around the world honor this day in special ways, most often exchanging red hearts and love notes – what we now call Valentins – to express their affection for one another.
In this article, I will show you how to easily make a decorative frame that is perfect both as a home decoration and as a thoughtful gift for a loved one on Valentine’s Day.
Materials you will need:
Let’s get started!
Step 1: Cut the burlap base with scissors so that it fits perfectly onto the wooden base.

Step 2: Attach the burlap to the wooden base using hot glue.

Step 3: Begin decorating the frame by gluing on the white and red felt hearts. For an extra touch of charm, place red pearl beads on top of the white hearts.

Step 4: To create the beautiful polystyrene heart, start by trimming the stems of the mini roses in half. Then glue the roses around the outer edge of the heart, leaving the center for last. Cover it fully to achieve a lovely, lush effect.

Step 5: Finally, glue the decorated heart onto the prepared base — and your romantic frame is complete!
