Have you already prepared your gifts for your loved ones and close friends? A wonderful addition to them would be a Christmas greeting card. There’s no need to tirelessly wander around the stores to find the perfect one — with the right art materials, you can easily create your own charming and irresistible card.
In this article, you’ll see how, with just a few simple steps and a small set of materials, you can create something truly special.
Make your Christmas day even more exciting and unique by surprising yourself and your loved ones with this beautiful and original handmade Christmas card.
Materials Needed:
Star anise
We’re ready to begin!
Step 1: Fold the red cardboard in half to form the base of your card.
Step 2: Apply double-sided tape on both sides of the base to attach the green satin ribbon.
Step 3: Attach the green pieces of cardboard on both sides of your Christmas card, placing them over the satin ribbon.
Step 4: The next detail to create is a small pocket for the inside of the card. Score a piece of red cardboard along three edges to form a pocket shape. Once you’ve finished scoring, glue the pocket onto one side of the card.
Step 5: Cut a small piece of dark green cardboard to place over the red pocket.
Step 6: If you don’t have decorative paper on hand, you can easily make one yourself to decorate your card. Here’s how I do it: take a sheet of cardboard, place a piece of cling film and the napkin on top, then gently iron over it. Once the napkin sticks perfectly, trim the excess edges. And that’s it — your designer paper is ready for any creative project!
Step 7: Once your designer cardboard is ready, glue it to the front base of the card. Add a bow made from the green satin ribbon and decorate it with a star anise flower.
And there you have it — your Christmas card with a pocket for money or a small gift is complete!
